Destination Wedding Thailand
Your Guide to a Destination Wedding in Thailand
We plan your wedding in Thailand from start to finish. That means a hotel with the right event spaces, Indian catering, and hospitality for you and every guest. Our team has run weddings across Phuket, Khao Lak, Bangkok and Pattaya, and knows which hotels can actually handle a multi-day Indian wedding, sangeet, haldi and baraat included.
1. Hotel and venue booking: matched to your guest count, ceremony style and budget
2. Indian catering: full vegetarian and Jain menus, on request at every hotel we work with
3. On-ground coordination: vendors, decorators and guest logistics handled locally in Thailand
Why Couples Choose Thailand for Their Wedding
It is close and well connected. Direct flights run from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad to Bangkok and Phuket. Most guests arrive within 2.5 to 4.5 hours.
Entry is simple. Indian passport holders travel visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism. There’s no embassy visit. Guests only file the free online arrival card before they fly.
Several looks, one country. Andaman beaches in Phuket and Khao Lak, limestone cliffs in Krabi, palace-style resorts in Hua Hin and riverside ballrooms in Bangkok are all a short flight or drive apart.
Hotels know Indian weddings. Multi-day events with 200+ guests are common at resorts in Phuket, Khao Lak and Hua Hin. Local florists, decorators and mehendi artists have worked on many Indian ceremonies, so you won’t be their first.
Guests get a holiday too. Island hopping, Thai spas, night markets and temples give guests a reason to stay longer.

- Catering: North and South Indian, Jain, Thai and continental menus
- Entertainment: DJ, dhol, live bands, sangeet choreography and Thai cultural shows
- Photography and videography: teams who know Indian ceremonies

We work with beachside resorts for sunset ceremonies and city hotels for larger, multi-day celebrations. We also plan for the parts couples forget: guests arriving on several flights, dietary needs for large groups, and rain backups for every outdoor event.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Thailand a good destination for a wedding?
Yes. Thailand is one of the most popular overseas wedding destinations for Indian couples, hosting more than 300 Indian destination weddings a year. It offers short direct flights from India, 30-day visa-free entry for Indian guests, and resorts experienced with multi-day Indian weddings.
Do Indian guests need a visa for a wedding in Thailand?
No. Since 15 September 2026, Indian passport holders can enter Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism. Visa on Arrival is no longer offered to Indians. Every guest must file a free Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within 72 hours before arrival. Read our full guide to the Thailand visa for Indians.
What services are included when planning a destination wedding in Thailand?
When is the best time for a wedding in Thailand?
November to April for Phuket, Khao Lak and Krabi on the Andaman coast, and January to April for Koh Samui on the Gulf coast. Bangkok ballroom weddings work year-round. See our month-by-month guide to the best time for a wedding in Thailand.
When should we start planning a destination wedding in Thailand?
8–12 months ahead for November–February dates, when the resorts most experienced with Indian weddings book up first. Smaller or off-season weddings can work with 4–6 months.
Do you arrange guest accommodation and travel?
Yes. We negotiate group room blocks, allocate rooms, advise on flights, help guests file their arrival cards, and arrange every airport transfer.
How much does a destination wedding in Thailand cost?
It depends on three things: guest count, number of nights, and whether everyone stays at the venue. Venue type and the number of functions also matter. Send us your guest count and dates and we’ll send a line-by-line quote, not a range you can’t plan against.
Can we have a full Hindu wedding with a mandap and pheras in Thailand?
Yes. Resorts set up mandaps on the beach or lawn and host baraats with dhol. We arrange a pandit and puja items, and check fire and music rules with each venue. Sikh, Christian and Muslim ceremonies can be planned the same way.
Is a wedding in Thailand legally recognised in India?
Most Indian couples hold the ceremony in Thailand and register the marriage in India. Legal registration in Thailand is possible at a district office, but it needs embassy paperwork and translations. We’ll guide you on the simplest route for your situation.
Can the wedding be customised to our traditions?
Yes. Every wedding is built around your rituals, menus and music, whether that’s North Indian, South Indian, Gujarati, Marwari, Punjabi or a fusion with a Thai blessing ceremony.
